How it is calculated

Exactly like the Age Calculator: start from the earlier birth date, count whole months up to the later one, then the remaining days, using the same month-end and 29 February rules described in the Methodology. Frequently asked questions

Does the age gap change over time?

No. It is measured between the two birth dates, so it stays the same in days and in years, months and days.

Why does the Hijri gap differ from the Gregorian gap?

The number of days is identical, but Hijri years are about 11 days shorter, so the same days group into different months and years.
