What it calculates
- Working days between two dates: total days, then working days after removing the weekend and any holidays you add.
- Deadline date: the date reached after a number of working days, forwards or backwards, skipping the same weekends and holidays.
The end date is included by default here, because most uses, like counting office days in a month, include both the first and last day. You can switch that off.
Weekend
The default is Friday and Saturday, Saudi Arabia’s weekend since 2013. You can choose Saturday–Sunday, Thursday–Friday for periods before 29 June 2013, Friday only (six-day week) or no weekend. See The Saudi weekend and counting working days.
Examples
| Case | Result |
|---|---|
| All of November 2026 (Sun 1 – Mon 30) | 30 days, 22 working days, 8 weekend days |
| All of 2026 | 365 days, 261 working days before public holidays |
| Thursday 1 October 2026 + 10 working days | Thursday 15 October 2026 |
Holidays that fall on a Friday or Saturday are not subtracted twice, so you can add every day of an Eid break exactly as announced.
For full durations in years, months and days use the Date Difference Calculator; to understand inclusive counting read How to count the days between two dates. For legal deadlines, check the regulation or authority, since some define working days differently.
