It starts the day after 29 Ramadan and lasts 4 days; by the Umm al-Qura calendar it runs From Tuesday, 9 March 2027 to Friday, 12 March 2027. The final dates follow the Ministry of Human Resources announcement after the moon sighting.
When is the Eid al-Adha holiday for the private sector?
4 days starting on the Day of Arafah (9 Dhu al-Hijjah); by the Umm al-Qura calendar it runs From Saturday, 15 May 2027 to Tuesday, 18 May 2027.
When are the National Day and Founding Day holidays?
The next National Day holiday is Thursday, 23 September 2027, and the next Founding Day holiday is Monday, 22 February 2027.
What if a holiday falls on a Friday or Saturday?
Under Article 24 of the Labor Law Implementing Regulations, a holiday day that falls on the worker's weekly rest day is compensated with a day before or after the holiday. If National Day falls inside an Eid holiday, it is not compensated.
Are government-sector holidays the same?
No. Eid holidays for state employees are usually longer and are set and announced each year, while National Day and Founding Day are holidays for both the public and private sectors.
