Dates follow what the official bodies announce; a payment can be brought forward by special decision (e.g. before Eid al-Adha), so the agency announcement always prevails.
The Ministry of Finance publishes a salary date table for each year. The counter uses that table as published, and each date in the table above shows its source. Months without a published table yet are worked out with the usual rule and marked “expected”.
Salaries follow the Gregorian calendar
Government salaries, the Citizen Account, social security and pensions are all paid by Gregorian months, so their Hijri date shifts from month to month. The counter shows every date in both the Gregorian and the Hijri (Umm al-Qura) calendars.
The dates on this page are based on official announcements: the Ministry of Finance for salaries, the Citizen Account program, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for social security, and the General Organization for Social Insurance for pensions. Any agency can bring a payment forward by special decision, so its official announcement always prevails. This site is not affiliated with any government body.

When are Saudi government salaries paid?
On the 27th of each Gregorian month, per the Ministry of Finance table. If the 27th is a Friday the salary is paid on the Thursday before, and if it is a Saturday on the Sunday after.
Is the salary brought forward before Eid?
It can be, by Ministry of Finance decision. In the ministry's 2026 table the May salary was paid on Sunday 24 May, because 27 May was Eid al-Adha (10 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447). That is why the counter uses the ministry's published table whenever one exists.
When is the Citizen Account paid?
On the 10th of each Gregorian month. On a Friday it is paid on the Thursday before (July 2026 was paid on Thursday 9 July), and on a Saturday on the Sunday after (October 2026 on Sunday 11 October).
When are developed social security and pensions paid?
On the 1st of each Gregorian month, in advance for that month. On a Friday or Saturday they are paid on the Thursday before; the August 2026 payments were made on Thursday 30 July 2026.
Does this date apply to private-sector salaries?
No. A private-sector salary date is set by the employment contract and the employer's policy; the 27th is the date for state employees paid by the Ministry of Finance.
